In this course, participants will learn why organizations map knowledge; what the critical success factors are for making and analyzing maps; and how organizations use completed maps to improve strategy and operations. Participants will build skills in this course by practicing the tactical steps and tools to scope and complete a knowledge map; identifying and analyzing knowledge gaps; and using the insights from knowledge mapping to enhance critical knowledge flow in and across business processes.

This course will teach participants:

• common knowledge management objectives
• how knowledge management enables knowledge flow
• challenges organizations have with knowledge and the impact on knowledge management

Participants will build skills by practicing the tactical steps and tools to scope and complete a knowledge map; identifying and analyzing knowledge gaps; and using the insights from knowledge mapping to enhance critical knowledge flow in and across business processes.
