This course will focus on how to identify, prioritize, and select the “right” improvement opportunities. It is not simply a matter of fixing what “is broken,” but rather understanding what the business needs are, then developing solutions that will make a significant impact. During this course, participants will learn how to identify, assess, and select process improvements, pick the right improvement approach and manage the change process, and integrate and align different improvement initiatives across the organization.

This course includes :

    Level set on foundation principles to include APQC's 7 Seven Tenets of Process Management and Process Lifecycle
  2. Process Improvement Definition
    Discussion on Process Improvement Approaches, and the use of Process Maturity Models, and Process Classification Frameworks
  3. Identifying Process Improvement Opportunities
    Leveraging Process Analysis Techniques and collaboration with stakeholders to identify potential improvements
  4. Assess and Prioritize Opportunities
    Techniques to evaluate, prioritize, and select improvements aligned to business value and stakeholder needs.
  5. Develop the Roadmap and Implement Process Improvement Opportunities
    Planning and managing improvement projects and tips for success
  6. Highlights & Wrap-Up
    Summary, final thoughts, and takeaways

Dewey Dorsett

Dewey joined APQC in 2015. He has been a lead consultant and senior advisor for 20+ years to both the service and manufacturing industries. His experience includes work with functions in research and development, operations, sales, supply chain, services and finance. This work has encompassed Process and Product design, Process Architecture, Scorecard development, Lean/Six Sigma Deployments, Business Process Re-design (BPR & BPM), and Supply Chain Management. His focus is on aligning change initiatives with organizational, strategic goals. Dewey also has extensive experience in performance management, team building, team facilitation and change management. Dewey is a certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt.
